The crash took place around 9:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 29 at the intersection of Post Road East and Bulkle Avenue in Westport, said Lt. David Wolf.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the scooter driver had collided with a vehicle and sustained serious injuries, Wolf said.
The injured person was transported to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle remained on the scene.
The Westport Police Accident Investigation Team is leading this investigation with assistance from the Fairfield Police Accident Investigation Team.
The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
